How I Procrastinated Writing This Book for 10 Years… And Why It’s Finally Ready

For most people, starting a business is one of the hardest decisions they’ll ever make. But for me, it’s always been the path of least resistance. Maybe I’m hardwired differently, or maybe it’s the thrill of creating something out of nothing that keeps pulling me back in.

My life story is still very much a work in progress, as my wife likes to remind me. I started my first business straight out of college and have been hauling my way forward ever since. Along the way, I’ve managed one successful exit—selling my advertising agency to a French group—raised money from investors, endured the sting of failed startups, and collected plenty of scars to prove it.

For years, I’ve wanted to share this journey. Not to sell you the "if I can do it, so can you" cliche, but to genuinely share lessons that might help you take that first step. If I can teach you one or two actionable strategies to start your business, I’ll consider this book a success.

This book has been brewing since 2015 when I sold my first business. I even found a publisher back then who’s been chasing me for a manuscript ever since. But life happened—more startups, more lessons, and the realization that the story wasn’t complete yet.

Now, in 2025, it feels like the right time. This book is finally happening. It’s not just a guide to starting a business; it’s my journey, my bruises, and my blueprint to help you get closer to your entrepreneurial dream.

So here it is: Pre-order the Kindle or paperback edition now. It launches on February 28. My goal is to give you an actionable plan for starting your business in 2025, no matter your resources or background. Let’s build something incredible together.
