Try this Growth hack using LinkedIn events for your Demand generation initiatives

Are you looking to bring some organic traffic to a content piece or promote an event or webinar? And achieve this without almost any media spends?

Organic traffic is nearly non-existent at this point and even if you or your company page has followers, getting traffic to your website or your content or simply driving event registrations means you will still end up spending a lot of money on media.

growth marketing using linkedin events

In one of my roles in a Dublin tech startup, my role as a marketing manager entailed the challenge of developing demand with little to no media on it. So what did we do?

Step#1: Create a Linkedin event

Step#2: Use/Automate the LinkedIn event invite feature

Our initial target was to get 1200 registrations in 2 months of promotions and the final tally was close to the figure.

We got 800+ registrations from LInkedin events without any penny spent on LinkedIn ads or any form of advertising to get these and another 400+ via paid registrations on landing page.

How did we get some 800+ registrations without spending any money?

Enter Phantombuster ! using this Linkedin automation tool, I could invite 80 to 150 folks per day to register for the event. All that without manually sending any invite!

Now you might be asking if I simply invite everyone in my network, & the answer is NO!

Enter LinkedIn Search ! So depending on your event or content piece, search for folks in your network who might be interested or simply out in search parameters as you feel fit.

When you run this search, turn the filter on for 1’st connections. And then you use this search to export all the profiles using this Phantom.

Once you have the profile, then its just a matter on turning on the Phantom above on and your content/event invites will go to 80/150 folks per day.

While this can be used for running events or getting traffic to your content, one thing I like about this hack is you can collect info using LinkedIn lead gen form as a part of the event registrations. ( this is only if you want to collect info of folks who are visiting your content or interested in them )

While this could be a very good event marketing technique, it can also be used to promote content or drive traffic to your web assets.

Let me know if you try this for different variations and what results come out of them. Any questions let me know in comments.

I have spoken a bit more in detail about using Phantombuster and some other kickass tools in this blog post here about 5+ Marketing Automation tools every marketers should use in 2021 if you are in the mood to explore further.
